(2) Extracting DNA

DNA is very tightly coiled within the nucleus of a cell. With this DNA extraction kit (and an adult supervising) you can release the DNA from onion cells.

Once the DNA is extracted from the nucleus, you can see it for yourself. No microscope is needed!

Take pictures and combine this with a large double helix model. Your science project is half way done!
