This convecting liquid night light may remind you of the Lava Lamps that were so popular in the 60s. After it warms up (may take 2-3 hours - ours took about 90 minutes), gobs of semi-solid wax will rise and fall through the base liquid.

Heated by the night light bulb in the lamp base, the "goo" expands and its density becomes less than the other liquid - causing it to float upwards. Away from the light bulb near the top of the lamp, it cools and contracts until it falls slowly back down to the bottom. Then, the whole cycle starts over again.

There are three color combinations available. These differ from those in the photograph. You may select your preference in the options section below - the first color is the liquid, the second is the wax.

Plugs in to a standard wall outlet (110 V). Uses a standard night light bulb that is easy to replace.
