These Sandbilder [tm] motion-art pieces are hand-crafted in Austria by renowned artist, Klaus Boesch. How do the Sandbilder pictures create new, kinetic images? Each time the picture is rotated, bubbles of air fly upward, creating a horizontal wall and trapping the falling sand. As the grains of sand slip between the air bubbles, mountains, valleys and other unique landscapes are created.
