The sundial is hidden on the reverse side of the hematite stone.

This version of the Aquitaine sundial looks like a locket from the front, but its open back reveals the Aquitaine sundial ring and a small space where you might consider keeping a picture. It is decorated with a Celtic Sun on the front, containing a beautiful semi-precious hematite stone in its center. The "Hidden" Aquitaine is hand-crafted in pewter with a 3/4" diameter and comes with an 18" metal alloy chain and instructions.

The back of the pendant marks: the Summer Solstice with a dot and a "S" the Spring & Fall Equinox with a dot and a "S-F" the Winter Solstice with a dot and a "W" Using the marks on the outer dial, place the hole in the outer ring on the season. Suspend the dial by the chain with the hole facing the sun. A bead of light will mark the approximate time inside the back of the pendant. (Remember to add 1 hour during daylight savings time - if you have it.)
