A boomerang that's just the right size to use in many backyards!
Folk lore credits Native Australians with creating the boomerang. The boomerangs used for hunting were non-returning boomerangs. It is unknown where the first returning boomerangs originated - there are a number of competing theories.
While some insist that their boomerang is a non-returning type, this one will return to you if thrown properly. The manufacturer has included instructions, which have proven themselves. Practice is the key for mastering the return and catch.

Most students first encounter the physics of the boomerang in their upper-level undergraduate classical mechanics course. The two primary principles at work are conservation of angular momentum and "lift" from an airfoil design.
